Captain Keith Curle is now considering a second improvement to his contract offer from Wolves. Manager Colin Lee was involved in fresh talks with the 35-year-old defender over the weekend and Curle has now left on a short holiday to consider the one-year offer on the table from Molineux. Lee expects to have a final decision within the next few days, but insists the negotiations are now over and that it's "make-your-mind-up" time for a player who has just logged another impressive season for Wolves. "There has been a second improvement in the terms offered Keith over the weekend and he has gone away to think it over," said Lee today. "But I need to know soon what his answer will be because if he is leaving we need to sign a replacement. And that is not going to be easy." Curle was known to be disappointed that Wolves were only prepared to offer a one-year deal, while other reports suggested that the terms amounted to a significant pay cut on his previous salary. Other clubs are waiting in the wings on Curle's decision with neighbours Albion and Bristol City interested in talking terms. But Lee says: "He wants to stay with me and stay with Wolves, but he's got to come to terms with the new system that we are using for players' salaries. "It is linked to incentives for appearances, but I still think that Keith's starting salary is very attractive. "I don't think that there will be any football clubs around these parts able to afford him a starting salary that will match what we have put on the table. "He was offered one deal and then an improvement. Now he has been offered another improvement. "But the talking and negotiations are now over. He has to say yes' or no' so we can get on with things."
