Wolves could be about to offer Aston Villa's troubled striker Stan Collymore a lifeline at Molineux to kick-start his career. The club are understood to be lining up an audacious swoop for Collymore, who looks to have little future at Villa Park next season under manager John Gregory. And manager Colin Lee is reported to be ready to offer teenage starlet Robbie Keane plus £6 million in cash to tempt Villa into doing a deal. Collymore, who was diagnosed as suffering from clinical depression last season, failed to make an appearance in the last three months of Villa's Premiership campaign. Wolves, who face the difficult task of trying to hang on to youngster Keane, could be ready to sign up Collymore to help boost their promotion push next season. Middlesbrough, Arsenal and Leeds United are all keeping tabs on Keane's situation while several other Premiership outfits are also thought to be keen on the Irish teenager. But Villa could win the race to land Keane, depending on how strong Wolves interest in Collymore is.
