Robbie Keane is reportedly on the brink of a £6 million move to Middlesbrough.

Such a move would make the 18 year old the most expensive teenager in British football. Sources inside Molineux say the two clubs have agreed the fee for he Republic of Ireland star with reports suggesting the transfer is expected to be finalised in two weeks when Colin Lee returns from holiday. Lee has denied early reports that Keane, is on his way to the North East. But Wolves have reportedly made it clear that if a good offer comes in for the striker it will be too hard to refuse. As for the Middlesbrough boss Bryan Robson, he has admitted his interest in Keane. He said: "What I can say is that we have been watching Robbie for some time and we are interested in him." Robson though dismisses talk of a deal having being done, commenting: "We are some way off that yet, although as I say, we have been watching him for some time and we are very interested." Despite those words from Robson though, the reports suggest that the striker is on the verge of a £6 million move to the Riverside. We await further developments.
