I just got the people magazine 50 Most Beautiful People and some of you
may be happy to know that Anna Kornikova was one of them.

TENNIS PLAYER . With her penetrating ground strokes and fearless net
game, 16 year old Anna Kornikova has handily bashed her way past top
seeds Monica Seles, Lindsay Davenport and Arantxa Sanchez Vicario. But
the boisterous boys in the stadiums who hole up signs saying Anna Gets
My Blood Rushing! and Anna, Call ME! are more interesting in her tight
tummy and the waist length blond hair that she hasn't cut since she was
7. "I'm glad they're rooting for me instead of the opponent," says the
flirtatious Russian export, who has been linked romantically with
Detroit Red Wings center Sergei Fedorov, 28. "I can't think of a more
fun distraction."
    At 5'8" and still growing, Kornikova is causing a stir because,
established ace Andre Agassi believes, "people are not used to seeing
more feminine athletes out there." Or as former coach Nick Bollettieri
puts it, " I don't think all the attention she's getting is based on her
as a player."
    With contracts from Adidas, Rolex and Yonex racquets pouring in,
Kornikova has all the more reason to coddle her pretty face. "I don't
ever go with out moisturizer," she says. And although she eschews sun
block and foundation ("I have a tan so I don't have to use it") her
favourite pastime is trolling the cosmetics counter: " I love playing
with the make up."
    When asked to recall a time when she looked her best, she gazes into
a mirror and replies, " I look good now." Mom, Alla who chaperons
Kornikova on the circuit while her collage professor dad, Sergei,
teaches phys ed in Moscow, never worries about her daughter's
self-esteem. "She is always saying, " I am beautiful, famous and
gorgeous,'" says Alla. Overhearing her mother, Anna chimes in, "She's
right. hat's my favourite saying."

I taped some tennis tomday while I was at school so as soon as I watch
it I will tell ya about it :)

CNN/SI had a Muster interview and a Rios interview after the former won
his match against Kafelnikov and the latter lost to an unseeded player.
Basically Rios was his kinda standoffish self and Muster was quite
friendly though he did look like he didn't want to talk too much. Rios
said that he probably lost cuz he was out for so long and that makes me
think that Pat is gonna do awful when he comes back!!! :(

I read an article in a newspaper which reported that Becker may make
another appearance at Wimbeldon this year. He said that he felt his game
was good and was thinking about giving it one last shot. If he doesn
not, he may instead be a commentator for the grass tournament. :)

I have been working on my site and am happy to report the following

4. For all those who were wondering about the chat room. Well apparently
there was something wrong and I don't know what it was so I just re did
the page and it's working now! I would like to know if any of you would
like to meet to chat? We can organize a time. Send me what's a suitable
time for you and hopefully we can work something out and have an actual
specific time :)

Rafter was named one of the sexiest men in Cosmopolitan Magazine
recently !
WOOHOOO :)
Well I went looking for that Cosmo today but unfortunately I didn't find
it :( I'll keep looking!

In May 98 issue of Tennis Magazine there is a small picture of Rafter
and a special mention about the French Open and how he stuck to his
serve and volley game and that it payed off. :) *yay*

Steffi Graf will miss the Frnech Open and said that if after that when
she makes her come back once again, should she fail, she will retire
from tennis. :(
