NEW YORK-Bob Sura called it the biggest shot he has hit all season, and he knew it was good from the moment it left his hand. Sura hit a long 3-pointer with 10.8 seconds left to give Cleveland a four-point lead, and the Cavaliers won on the road for just the third time this season Saturday night with an 89-86 victory over the New York Knicks. "This was big. This could be the turning point of our season, beating a good team on the road," Sura said. "We've got a couple wins in a row. Hopefully we'll build on it." Sura's 3-pointer came in a game-closing 14-4 run in which he accounted for eight of Cleveland's points. He finished with 25. The Cavs, who blew an early 17-point lead, snapped a seven-game road losing streak and put together their first two-game winning streak since the second week of December. Lamond Murray added 15 points, Shawn Kemp had 12 and Brevin Knight 11. Allan Houston, who led New York with 23 points, missed a 3-pointer at the buzzer that would have tied it. The Knicks had their three-game winning streak snapped as they lost at home for only the fourth time this season. The game seemed to be in New York's hands after Houston hit a 3-pointer off an offensive rebound and Marcus Camby slammed home a miss by Latrell Sprewell for an 82-75 lead with 5:22 left. But Sura answered with a jumper and a 3-pointer, Knight hit a jumper and Kemp scored on a baseline turnaround to put the Cavs up 84-83 with 1:30 left. The Knicks missed shots on their next two possessions and Cleveland on the one in between, leaving the Cavs with the ball as the clock ticked inside 30 seconds. With the bench yelling "hold it," the Cavs swung the ball around until finding Sura wide open some 26 feet away. He drilled the shot to give Cleveland a four-point lead. "I was spotting up, praying for Mark Bryant to throw me the ball and he did," Sura said. "It was a long 3, but the clock was running down. I knew it was pretty deep, but I also knew it was going in when I let it go." Said Bryant: "I didn't care how far away he was. He was going to get the ball. He was hot." Chris Childs hit a 3-pointer with 6.3 seconds left and Knight made two foul shots with 5.5 seconds left to complete the scoring. Cleveland's biggest lead came midway through the second quarter when rookie Andre Miller scored on a drive to make it 41-24. The Knicks closed the half with a 16-3 run that included 3-pointers by Charlie Ward and Houston to trail by four at the half. The Cavs scored the first five points of the third quarter to take a nine-point lead before the Knicks chipped away and trailed by two entering the fourth. New York coach Jeff Van Gundy was angered that his team trailed for most of the night. "There's no excuse for not being ready to play," Van Gundy said. "Some of our guys were, some weren't."
