Mick Foley is the most inspirational and original wrestler of all time. He has a wonderful creative mind coupled with an uncrushable spirit, and as hard as any other wrestler will ever try, they will never ever bring him down. In my mind, that makes him the greatest.

Mick Foley is everything there is to love about wrestling. The guy is a role model to kids and all wrestling fans around the world. His wrestling isn't fake like others. Like when he went off the Hell In A Cell.(and in case you didn't know, when he was chokeslammed through the cell, it was a complete accident and wasn't part of the show). Who will forget KOTR? No matter how hard WWF tries, the will never put on another Hell In A Cell match like Mankind and Undertaker. Mick has earned where he is, and if all wrestling was real, he would be the champ for sure, cause he just won't say "I Quit!"

Foley is one of the 4 people in the entire sport of wrestling who will take chair shots on the head. He is the only one with the guts to do it multiple times (Royal Rumble 99). He takes the greatest falls of anyone on to concrete, tables, cars, chairs.
Mick Foley is my favorite wrestler cause he loves what he does and he loves the fans. He didn't get an injury or couldn't make it in a professional sport and choose wrestling and he didn't grow up with famous parents to hand him a wrestling career. He choose wrestling cause he loves it and stuck with it through his life doing what no one else dares to do. In my mind he is role model, an incredible person, and the worlds greatest wrestler.

I love Foley for so many reasons. He puts his life on the line t give the fans exactly what we want, and you can tell that he loves his job as a wrestler more than any other wrestler there is I bet!!!! Another reason is because of his life. Foley never gave up that day in school when people through worms at him, he didn't just stand their, he took the biggest specimen and slurped it down to show those ######## that they would fail in wounding his pride. In Japan, in IWA King of the Deathmatch, he was thrown on explosives, barb wire, nails and many other painful objects and he didn't give up. He didn't stop the match for his excessive blood lose, he refused to lose, and he defeated every damn opponent in that single elimination tournament defeating defeating his idol Terry Funk to become King of the Deathmatch. That stuff isn't fake either, that shows Foley could take on any wrestler there is in a good old hardcore deathmatch. Foley is also great for his awesome microphone talent, I don't care what anyone said, he is great, and no one else could think up the demented deranged stuff he comes up with. This guy is not my idol, hes the most hardcore wrestler there is, and the toughest SOB there is. It wasn't beauty that killed the beast it was my Mandible Claw MANkind as demented as he may be he kicks ass so what if the guy is a little slow he sure can whoop ass. Stone Cold, the Rock, Goldberg, Nash, Kane, Taker, HHH, X-Pac. No one I mean no one will ever put as much heart in their wrestling career as Mick Foley. Mick Can kick anyones ass and when he doesn't win he sure puts up one helluva fight. Remember when he fought Taker 16ft. drop into onto the floor. I think we all have a little Foley in us.

The reason I like Mick Foley so much is because of his heart. He tries to entertain the fans every time he gets into the ring and he does. He is the main reason that I watch wrestling and he hasn't let his success get to him. I have met him and he was the nicest person I have ever met, he actually listens to what you have to say and he has a conversation you(most wrestlers don't) I am proud to say that I look up to him as my role model and I would just like to thank him for what he has done for the sport of wrestling and for the fans. I like Mick Foley because he is doing what he loves and he isn't just a wrestler. He gives his fans what they want. I have never watched a Foley match were he didn't do something to make me have just a little more respect for him. I am a senior in high school and for 4 years I played basketball. I was the shortest player on me team with little or no speed and jumping ability. But I went out every game and put everything on the line for me team and that has earned me alot of respect. By most standards my high school career would be considered failure, but by mine and the people who saw me play I was the most respected player on the team. And that is how I can relate to Foley. He isn't the biggest, strongest, or most recognized but he has the respect of every wrestler or fan who has saw him in just one of his matches.

I like foley because I'm a professional wrestler and i go through half the stuff he does, i'm half his age and i still can't keep up.
Because he puts his body on the line for his fans. He is without a doubt the craziest wrestler I've ever seen in my lifetime. He can take a pretty good beating! One night he might totally flip right out and beat the piss out of every man women and child in the arena on that particular night. It might take him a few hours but I think he is up to the task.
When I saw the Undertaker throw him off the top of the cell at King of the Ring last year, I felt something I had never felt before in 15+ years of following pro wrestling: stark naked terror. To hell with the fact that it's staged and planned and rehearsed! If he had been off his mark by inches in any direction, he could have been paralyzed or killed! He's always puts on an exciting match, whether against technical/scientific wrestlers or rulebreakers. He's an anomaly: somewhat fat and beefy when the trend is towards being slick and buff, and a great mat wrestler in an era when aerial and acrobatic moves are more popular. Add to this mix his genuinely impish sense of humor and an ability to convey his awe and excitement to be living out his childhood dream, and I could watch this man's matches forever. May he run as long as he wants, but I hope he knows when to call it quits; a long-term course of chairshots to the head and I'm afraid he might resemble Muhammed Ali in his later years. Even if Mick were to retire today, he would still leave as his legacy a magnificent career which would be equaled by at most a very few of his contemporaries. Hey, and I didn't even mention the match against Vader in which Mick lost most of an ear [and this was prior to the notorious Tyson-Holyfield fiasco], the flaming gasoline-soaked rag match in ECW, and, oh my God, the thumbtacks . . . those hundreds of thumbtacks.
I like Mick Foley because I love the way he wrestles and I think it is so cool that he has three "personalities". And if your not down with that I got one word for ya "SOCKO".

The reason why I like Foley is because he will do basically ANYTHING for our enjoyment. For example. The Hell in the Cell match with the Undertaker. When he was dropped I believe it was 20ft. onto that table. (It's 20ft. including the ring apron.) If he missed by as much as a millimeter, hell knows he would have been killed!!!!! Then of course later on he was dropped another 16ft. THROUGH THE CELL. That wasn't even supposed to be part of the match. One time I saw an interview with him. And they showed an old home video of him literally jumping off the roof of his house, face first onto a huge @$#ed slab of cement. AND BOTH THOSE LAST TWO INCEDENTS WERE F**KING REAL!!!!! What more is there to say? -D-
Mick is the only wrestler who isn't ashamed to be who he is. Anyone who will scream "mmmmm Beefy!" for is fans should be President! Long live Mick! ;-)

From Anthony This guy is one of the only wrestlers who became on because HE wanted to! All these other guys were told the wrestling is a good idea. Others were discovered, and some were born into it. This guy comes from nowhere, he loved wrestling and was crazy about it. He never bitches about contracts or pay. This guy would jump off a skycraper onto a bed of thumbtacks, c-4's, and barb wire for the fans. Not many wrestlers would even fight near a ring with thumbtacks. Foley has been about the fans forever. THE MAN IS THE REASON I WRESTLE! When I was a kid, and we were all playing wrestling in basements and the yard, there would be the Hogan's, the Warrior's, the Sting's, and then there was me, Always picking Cactus Jack. It's hard to describe why I respect Mick Foley so much. I could talk for hours about his "hardcore" attitude and the physical punishment he has sustained to please his fans. However, there is one reason that sticks out above all else, and that is that Mick Foley is the truest example of a young kid who had a dream and no matter how badly his peers treated him, he never gave up on that dream to one day hold the World Championship belt. Keep it up Mick, you are without a doubt one of the greatest wrestlers ever to hold championship gold and you are an inspiration to millions of fans across the globe.
