Play Strat-O-Matic Computer Baseball
Face-to Face via the Internet!

That's right.  Now you can play your favorite baseball game vs. anybody, anywhere, anytime! Sound impossible?  Well it's not.  With the release of Microsoft NetMeeting 3.01, you can now play SOMBB, head-to-head, against virtually anybody in the world.  And the best part of all is that it's absolutely FREE.  (A note for AOL users: NetMeeting play is generally not possible when using AOL as your ISP, as their servers are extremely slow).

Make no mistake, this is not "chat" style play.  Both players actually see and interact with the SOMBB game program as if they were sitting side-by-side at the same computer.  And for those who are interested in head-to-head league play, the NetMeeting Alliance Baseball League is currently accepting applications for new managers for the 2000 season.  The tension and excitement experienced while facing a live opponent in league play via NetMeeting is unmatched, and, as a current league member wryly notes, you don't have to share your snacks.  The NABL is the first, and only, nation-wide face-to-face SOM Computer Baseball league in existence.  We currently have teams in California, Missouri, Michigan, Ohio, and Pennsylvania, all participating head-to-head in real time.
