![]() I am an avid Fantasy Football fanatic and I currently participate in the following leagues: Eight Is Enough Fantasy Football League (EIEFFL) Bandits Playoffs Mastermind Premium Mock Draft League (MPMDL)
|
EIEFFLEIEFFL is a very competitive keeper league which is now entering it's 30th year of existence, one of the oldest leagues in the country. 2008 will be my 18th season with this rowdy group and I'm now the assistant commissioner. Owners can freeze up to 10 players each season and drafting and selecting the correct players to use each week is a quite a challenge. My Bandits won the 2000 crown and finished 2nd in 2001 to the Ticaboo. We regained the championship in 2002 and then won it again in 2003 and 2004 tying the record set by the Deacons of three championships in a row. In 2005 Jim's Knights finally won the championship after 21 years in the league. I finished 3rd, but did manage to tack on two side pools.
In 2006 we moved the league scoring to a confidential website in My Fantasy League through FFLM. Those with a password can follow this season there. I managed to win our 2006 season along with two side pools, total points and high game. John's Paniolos won the 2007 season, riding Tom Brady's huge year to victory. I managed to stay in the money with a 2nd place finish as the result of some late season heroics. In 2008 I struggled at the end, but still finished 3rd and in the money.

PLAYOFFS
Each year after the 17 week EIEFFL season ends, I initiate the playoffs where four EIEFFL teams typically participate. The Knights, Paniolos, Weasels and my Bandits are regulars now, but most of the old EIEFFL regulars have participated at one time or another.
Entry fee for each team is $100. Teams, consisting of 24 players, will be drafted from scratch. Order of draft will be determined by reverse order of the team's standings during the regular EIEFFL 17 week season. Draft will be serpentine. The four teams compete for the most points each week. Weekly team will consist of 1 QB, 2 RB, 3 WR, 1 K, and 1 D. All lineups must be posted on the website, called or emailed in before the first game of each week begins.
Winner of the Super Bowl gets $160. Split if tied. Winners of the first 3 weeks get $60 for each week. Ties split weekly winnings. Longest offensive TD gets $20. Longest field goal gets $20. Most total points gets $20.

Mastermind 2004 Premium Mock Draft League
In 1997, the first year of the Mock, my Bandits scored the most points using all the players that we drafted and with no quarterly drafts. We decided to actually make this more like a league where we emailed in the line ups after that first year. Teams now play 1 QB, 1 TE, 1 PK, 1 DT and a combination of 3 RBs and 2 WRs or 2RBs and 3 WRs, a total of 9 player spots.
In 1998 and 1999 Kevin Kidd finished first. In 2000 it was Mike Krueger that finished first. Then in 2001 Kevin Kidd won it again. In 2002 Gil Brovar took over David Dorey's Coyotes and rode those critters to first place. My Bandits finished 2nd. .
Chris Rito's Wombats hung on and won the 2003 Mock league over Gil Brovar's Doomsday. In 2004 my Bandits finished first with a record breaking total of 1754 points. After managing the Mastermind Mock for Mike Nazarek over the last eight years, I've decided to make this my last year here. Going out a winner feels really good.
