Hello, again chess fanatics.Yes, I know it has been a while, but I have unfortunately been unable to work on the site for a while. Anyway, I've resolved to update it at least monthly from now on and I will be making minor changes continously throughout the year as I will be working to improve it. The first minor change I will be making is that I have eliminated the annoying POP-UP windows. Next, I am planning on improving the diagrams. (Right now I'm doing scans which don't look that great.) I look forward to resolving that issue within the next month, as I am making some time to pour some energy and effort into making this a more friendly and useful site for you chess aficionados. This site will be geared more towards chess novices and beginners, but all are welcome.
Included in the current update is fantastic game from last November involving a complicated Queen sacrifice by one of the top American Grandmasters, Alexander Shabalov. I also want to comment on the fact that Gary Kasparov, the world's #1 ranked player is back and appears stronger than ever reeling off 2 consecutive wins in Super Tournaments. (Tournaments where most of the Top 10 players appear.) Having ripped off wins in Wijk Jan Zee and Linares in impressive fashion after not having played in 8 months and going winless in 1998. So anybody who thinks that he is not the "Boss", better just look at the results and rethink that.
(By the way, I am not a huge Kasparov fan, but I have the ultimate respect for his ability and talent.)
Thank you for coming...enjoy the site.
