The Basics

For the novice, or someone wanting to find out a little bit more about rowing:

Rowing is one of the best, or the best team sports, it enables you to work in a team, all rowing together, in time hopefully, to achieve a common goal:To Win!

Each rower has his back to the direction the shell(boat) is moving and the power comes from using a blended sequence of the rower's legs, back and arms. So rowing is a full body workout, not just arms, as a lot of people think.The rower sits on a sliding seat with wheels on a track called the slides.
