The folder brings the following text:

"More than a landscape architect and plastic artist, Roberto Burle Marx (1909-1994) was a Brazilian enthusiastic for his country flora. He applied the Brazilian landscape colours, forms and movement as the raw material for his work of painting , drawing, tapestry, ceramic, carving and engraving. However, his talent could not be restricted merely to plastic art representation. Burle Marx went beyond his atelier by creating the best of his work as a partner of the nature itself. He designed gardens and parks, translating stalks, leaves, flowers, stones and water into pure art. Art of harmony with the world. Art of respect to the life."
