The main object of this site is to present informations and images related to brazilian phonecards.

As is well known brazilian phonecards are inductive, a technology introduced by Mr. Bardini (a brazilian engineer) and developed by Telebrás - the former brazilian holding company of the telecomunications system, privatized in July/98.

The cards are presented in sets each one representing a theme. In my opinion a thematic collection is the only way to collect phonecards, it's impossible to have all the cards issued by telephone companies all over the world in a single collection.

In respect to brazilian phonecards I can say that Telebrás and the regional companies issued too many cards - about 2,300 cards - some of them have good quality and many of them are pure garbage for a thematic collection. This is not exclusive to Brazil, all other telephone companies in the world do the same.

Many collectors all over the world don't know nothing about brazilian phonecards while many others have misinformation about these cards and not even want to know anything about them.
