There is alot going on with the Rockets this week. As you all know there has been a huge trade with the Bulls for Power Forward Scottie Pippen. This would not seem to be much suprise seeing that there have been negotations taking place since the '98 season when Jordan told the press he was thinking or retireing. Although it took over 24 hours longer than anticipated, the Rockets finally got Scottie Pippen's name on a five-year,$67.2 million contract Friday. For the trade with the Bulls the Rockets lose Roy Rogers and the first pick of the NBA draft.

Signings:

Along with re-signing Charles Barkley, the Rockets also keep Matt Bullard, Othella Harrington, Eddie Johnson and Matt Maloney......Houston signed Michael Dickerson and Bryce Drew to three-year contracts and added Cuttino Mobley, Anthony Miller and John Coker to there new roster. It is also official that the Rockets have signed the Antoine "Big Dog" Carr as there new back up center.(veiw roster)
