Negro League Writings

This is a Negro Leagues web page. Black baseball before Jackie Robinson is a very active field. But many of the experts do not have the time to learn enough HTML to get on to the Web. This page acts as a repository for authors who want to publish via the Internet, but don't want to maintain a web page of their own.

At one time this was hosted on a computer in the Astronomy Department at Northwestern University. That computer was retired and hence the page has moved here.

The first articles are by Lyle K. Wilson:
The Last Negro League Baseball Game - Includes Negro League Rosters from 1955-61.

The Singing Baseball Team

Barry Swanton was very generous with his memories of the ManDak League .
He also tells of the All-Star game held to benefit flood victims in 1950.
