Laudrup is equalled only by Paul Gascoigne when it comes to breath taking, awe inspiring runs. His close control, pace and ability to leave markers in his wake with a slight dip of his shoulder has made him a class act in any company. The former Bayern Munich, Fiorentina and AC Milan attacker cost a bargain £2.2 million when he signed from Fiorentina in 1994 in what seems to be the bargain of the century given the prices of today's players.
Has been the target of bids from top European sides such as Barcelona over the past year but Walter Smith has not been tempted by bids of over £7 million. Laudrup scored four goals in Euro 96 and was a member of the Denmark side which won the European Championships in 1992.
