Rangers Manager Walter Smith Walter Smith Joined Rangers as assistant manager in 1986 along with Graeme Souness. Took over the reigns in 1991 when Souness left to join Liverpool and has won the Premier League Championship every year since. Has already become one of Rangers most successful managers and despite some dubious tactics at times (one man up front for example) his man management is superb. Seems to have the ability along with Club Chairman David Murray of attracting some of the biggest names to Rangers.
