Date of Birth: 27 August 1971
Signed from Aberdeen in 1995 for £1.5 Million. Stephen was a vital addition to the Rangers side which had been unbalanced since the untimely injury to Gary Stevens two years before. Unfortunately Stephen sustained knee ligament damage playing against Juventus at Ibrox in November 1995 before he was really given a chance to settle.
Stephen played one game against Clydebank in the 1996 Coca Cola Cup before sustaining a further knee ligament injury in training. He is now unlikely to return to action until the 1997/98 season. This is a huge blow to the club and to the player.
