Personal: Resides in Issaquah, WA with his wife Leah, daughter Brielle and sons Chase and Gunner. Graduated in 1982 from Clear Creek High School in League City, TX where he was All-State in baseball. Attended McClennan Community College in Waco, Texas where in 1995 they retired his number. Singed letter of intent to the University of Texas prior to being drafted by the Pirates.
