Andres Jose Galarraga

Galarraga plays First Base , Bats, and Throws Right-handed.
He is 6-3 and weighs in at 235.  Andres was born on June 18,1961 in
Caracas, Venez.  He now lives in West Palm Beach, Flordia.  He is married
to Eneyda and they have three daughters, Anria 12, Katherine 6, and Andrianna
4 months.
In 1993, Galarraga became the first player on an expansion team (Colorado)
and first Venezuelan to win a batting title (.370).
Andres goes by the nickname of Big Cat, given during his minor league career
for his  cat-like reflexes and range at first base.
His favorite Pizza topping is Chicken.
The Big Cat will miss the 99 season due to Cancer.  We wish him and his
family the best of Luck and a speedy recovery.  He will be sadly missed.

Galarraga makes his first appearance on March 12, 1999 after being
diagnosed with cancer.
