STONEGATE PARK - The Wings fell for the second-consecutive time at home on Sunday, April 20, 3-0 to the Vienna Vision. Wheaton is now 0-2-2 on the season and is currently seventh with two points in WAGS Division I.
The Vienna Vision made the most of their chances in a 3-0 win. The Wings had defeated Vienna 5-1 in the FPYC Labor Day Tournament Final last Fall.
The Vision were able to force the Wings into three mistakes in the first half, and punished the home team on each occasion.
Wheaton worked hard in the second half, controlling the play up to the final third, but were unable to force an opening to score. Yemi Abayomi (Whitman H.S.) and Abbe Franchot (Sidwell Friends) were outstanding for the Wings on the day.
