On Saturday,December2,those women who mean so much to the players,coaches,and staff of the Tallahassee Tiger Sharks began the holiday season with true Southern Hospitality. Each of the ladies was greeted at Chez Pierre Restaurant by their sponsors and given a candy cane carnation and cute reindeer with candy stuffed animal as a treat for the season. Most of the women were able to read the primarily french menu with delicious offerings. Those not French speaking were even observed asking their partners for an interpretation. The meals were great and the dessert tray was even more appealing. Those attending got to learn a little bit more about each of the women behind the Sharks. Linda Kranert,Special Events Coordinator,interviewed each of the women prior to the even and shared some interesting facts with everyone. Carol Fleming,wife of Coach Fleming,thanked everyone involved,stating that this was the first time in her hockey career that anything like this had been done for the women. If you missed this even then you did miss a chance to make some new friends and to learn a little bit about the Tiger Sharks through the eyes of their women. Another luncheon will be planned in the spring which will allwo for others to share this enjoyable affair.
