Thanksgiving Feast
by Carol Harris,Hospitality Chairperson

What can you make with 4 turkeys,1 ham,40 lbs. potatoes,20 lbs. sweet potatoes,10 lbs. green beans,8 lbs. corn,20 lbs. carrots,5 lbs. cranberry sauce,2 corn casseroles,a zillion rolls, endless supply of homemade gravy, and way to many sweet desserts?

Extra business for antacid companies? Feeding an army?

Well, almost an army...how about a hockey team. If you left hungry,it was not because there was not enough food!

On Wednesday,November 22,the Tiger Sharks office staff, payers, friends, and family joined together at the Jefferson Pointe Clubhouse for a Thanksgiving dinner. With a game on Thanksgiving Day,they had to celebrate early. After this meal,I don't think anyone would have been able to play a game.

The guys enjoyed a good home-cooked dinner and really got a chance to sit back and relax. Finally,FJ issued the last call for getting food and announced that they could prepare a plate to take home. It is amazing how much mashed potatoes one can fit on a plate or how any dish, cup,or bowl becomes a "to go box". Whatever food was left over was donated to the Mission shelter on West Tennessee Street.

The guys were really appreciative of us taking the time and preparing them a wonderful Thanksgiving feast.

We would like to thank all the people who donated the food and prepared and served the meal: Joyce Enfinger,Dedee Hynote,Paul Eakin,Shane Enfinger,April Pace,Kim Sproul,Lee Ann and Alex Melton helped with making this a successful evening. Also,a special thanks to Brent Pope and Ben Guite for helping in the clean up.
