At what age did you start playing hockey?
Age 4. We had a frozen pond near our home to practice. My father and older brother played hockey.
How did you feel about getting your first professional hat trick?
Great, amazing! Especially when you help the team win a couple of games. I hope I can help the team continue to win.
Do your parents have an opportunity to watch you play now that you have turned pro?
Last year my dad came for a few weeks. Hopefully they can come this year. They live in Quebec which is about a 24 hour drive so that is so far!
Do you miss any teammates from last year?
We had a couple of great guys like Derek Paget, who I am still in touch with. Also Alex LaPorte, who was my roommate, who is now retired. It is part of the game year after year. You make friends then you never know where you or your friends will be the next year.
What do you do in the off-season to stay busy?
Roller hockey, play a lot of golf, and weight training. Also my wife* is pregnant and I am learning about baby stuff. Our baby is due in March and that is good news for us. It will keep me busy.
What kind of music do you listen to?
Alternative mostly, but whatever is on radio when you turn it on. I love music.
What do you do on road trips to keep from getting bored?
I like to play cards, read magazines, and books. I do a lot of sleeping and watch movies.
What was your worst injury?
A broken wrist while in Juniors. I was supposed to be out for 3-4 months but they put a cast on and I played 3 months with cast. The tough part was that it was my last 3 months in Juniors and needed to continue to play so I could move up to the next level.
What is your favorite shot?
Wrist shot. The quick release. Morin and I work on that after each practice to get better and better with it. We played at least 60 games together last year.
Who is your favorite NHL player?
Peter Forsberg. He is a good all around player. Great skater, physical and great passer.
Do you have a nickname and how did you get it?
T-Bo or T-Bone. Alex LaPorte started calling me that last year.
Do you have any superstitions?
Not really. I maybe try to keep everything the same in warm-up. I listen to the same song in the locker room before the game. You have got to be focused not only physically, but mentally before each game, especially when you play 3 nights in a row and there is less than 24 hours until the next game.
