Despite a nagging foot injury that kept him out of the Tiger Sharks line-up for over a week, Tallahassee's Brent Cullaton showed why he is an ECHL All-Star this year in Day 1 of All-Star festivities in Little Rock, Arkansas.
In a time of 14.345, Cullaton skated away with the League's Fastest Skater Award yesterday afternoon beating Peoria's Darren Clark who was clocked at 14.804.
"It was fun being out there," commented Cullaton during a phone interview.
"My foot felt good after the trainers got their hands on it and I just let loose. It was a great feeling."
Cullaton looks to return to the roster of Friday night as the Tiger Sharks host the Mobile Mysticks for the second consecutive night. His addition should prove to be the boost the Sharks are looking for as they head into the stretch run before the playoffs.
