(AP) - The NHL will present an award recognizing the goaltender with the league's best save percentage at the end of the regular season. The MNBA Roger Crozier Saving Grace Award will include a trophy and $25,000 to be donated to a youth hockey or educational program of the player's choice. Roger Crozier was one of the NHL's top goaltenders from 1963 to 1977 with Detroit, Buffalo and Washington. In his 14 seasons, he was the Calder Trophy winner as the top rookie in 1965 and the Conn Smythe Trophy recipient for his MVP performance in the 1966 Stanley Cup. After his retirement, Crozier worked for the MBNA America Bank in 1983. He died Jan. 11, 1996. Chicago goaltender Jose Theodore leads the NHL with a .921 save percentage followed by Dallas's Ed Belfour at .919 and Washington's Olaf Kolzig at .916.
