1998 Spring Training Ride Series - Race #3

Another great turnout for the third race of the Spring Series. We had 65 enthusiastic riders come out and hit the trails. Warm temperatures were again present (although I felt a lot colder standing around waiting for the race to start) and Ol' Sol shone down on us for the whole race. The "out-of-towners" continue to show up at the races. Our local talent contested the course with people from the following cities: [Walla Walla - Prosser - Yakima - Bend, OR - LaGrande, OR - Portland, OR - Corvallis, OR - Wenatchee - Moses Lake] Thankx again to all that helped out, including Craig Fortner, Greg Turpen and Larel Andring (registration), Neil & Jay Webber (Facilities) and a Big Round of Applause to Gary Larsen for setting up the course. Fast descents, hard climbs and fun singletrack were present in abundance!

The Sport Race

I had a fun ride, pretending to race, and even got to sample some of the local dirt! Hope that everyone had as much fun as I did and we'll see you at the next race (ACME Concrete) on March 22nd.
