GAME PREVIEW

Vancouver Canucksvs.Tampa Bay Lightning

Vancouver Canucks at Tampa Bay Lightning

Time and Location: Sunday 25 October 1998 4:00PM PST at Tampa Bay

TEAM RECORDS

Vancouver Canucks (4-2-0); won their last game against Florida 5-0
Tampa Bay Lightning (2-4-1); won their last game against Los Angeles 3-2

OVERVIEW

The Canucks are face the Tampa Bay Lightning in the fourth game of their five game road trip.  The Canucks have done phenomenonly well this trip (2-1-0), and there's no reason they can't do well against one of the weakest teams in the league.  Tampa Bay has won it's last two games, but has a record of 2-4-1, and the Canucks are flying high after playing well so far this season.  The Canucks goaltending has, ironically, been the saving grace of this team.  Now, however, Vancouver's offensive players are starting to heat it up.  Mogilny, Bertuzzi, and Messier all played a great offensive game in Florida (combining for eight points).

STREAKS

The Canucks are on a two game winning streak.  The Lightning are on a two game winning streak.

THINGS TO WATCH FOR

    1. Continued good play by Mark Messier.
    2. Production from Bertuzzi and Mogilny.
    3. Can Snow sustain his great goaltending?

SUPERFAN PREDICTION

The Canucks are playing great, and they should be able to beat Tampa - it's just that simple.
