OVERVIEW
The Canucks stole one from the Leafs with some spectacular goaltending by Garth Snow. Snow was peppered with 40 shots, and was faultless on the only one that went in at 1:28 of the first period. The Canucks were brilliant on special teams, and scored 3 power play goals out of 4 chances with the man advantage. The Leafs were stopped cold on their 7 power play chances. Mark Messier played a great game for Vancouver, and even threw some decent hits at Toronto early in the game. Messier scored once on the power play to bring his career goal total to 599, and the watch is on for his milestone 600th. Brad May was also stellar and scored a goal on the power play and chipped in with two helpers, to score 3 points in the game. The Leafs have been seemingly unstoppable since the beginning of pre-season, and this was their first lost in the regular season.
