OVERVIEW

The Canucks rallied against the Penguins to come back from a 2-0 deficit to tie 2-2.  It looked like the Canucks were in deep trouble early, with the Penguins power demolishing the Canucks.  Adrian Aucoin took the first penalty for obstruction at 4:30 of the first, and the Pens' C Martin Straka put the puck home 39 seconds later.  Late in the first, the Canucks took two quick penalties, and were down two men going into the second.  54 seconds into the second, a dominant RW Jaromir Jagr snapped the puck into the net off a great cross-ice feed, and the Canucks looked like another victim of the number one power play in the leauge.  The tables turned on a goal from LW Markus Naslund midway through the second.  The Canucks penalty kill dodged 4 more power plays by the Penguins.  The game was tied on a beautiful breakaway my RW Alexander Mogilny after a Penguins player made a bad pass across his own blue line.  Mogilny picked the pass off and raced towards the net unhindered to score.  The Canucks looked to win the game in overtime on a goal from Markus Naslund who crashed the net, but it was ruled to be kicked in.  Unfortunately, both Peter Zezel and Brad May were injured in the game, and are not expected to play Sunday against the Capitals.
