OVERVIEW

The Canucks start slow in the first period for the second straight game, but again made a comeback in the third period to defeat the Ducks 5-2.  The Ducks were up 2-1 after the first period with goals by Marty McInnis and Steve Rucchin.   Surprise offensive threat Markus Naslund had made it 1-1 earlier in the period.   Vancouver pressed hard in the second period, but the score stood going into the third period.  Rookie Bill Muckalt tied the game at 2:10 into the third.   Scatchard scored the insurance goal 1:20 later, on a great give and go with Bryan McCabe, and the Ducks never recovered.  McCabe wasn't done though - he scored the next goal at 9:11.  Markus Naslund got his second of the night on an empty netter.
