Canucks Pathetic Against Edmonton

Source:    None

The Canucks stunk GM Place out again in a pitiful performance against Edmonton.  The Canucks were horrendous on the penalty kill, being scored on thrice on 7 times shorthanded.  The Canucks appeared to be playing a tough game, and drawing some penalties, but Vancouver looked terrible on the powerplay, getting only a few shots on six times with the man advantage.  Mark Messier scored on one powerplay late in the third, but the goal wasn't pretty, and was much too little, much too late.  Steve Staois and Mattius Ohlund had 3 shots each, comprising a little under half of Vancouver's 13 shots in the game.  The teams offensive players were left with a shot a piece at most.  An all-around pathetic performance at home against a beatable team.
