Klatt Joins the Team from Philly

The Canucks acquired RW Trent Klatt from Philadelphia today for a 6th round pick in the 2000 entry draft. Klatt had 14 goals and 28 assists in 82 games last year for Philly. Klatt has played 8 NHL seasons, and has career stats of 75 goals, 114 assists in 387 games played. Klatt started his career for the Minnesota North Stars (and moved with the team to Dallas), and then was traded to Philadelphia during the 95-96 season. Philadelphia stated it had an overabundance of forwards like Klatt, and Vancouver was interested in increasing its depth on the right side.
