The Vancouver Canucks have been lucky so
far this year in the injury department, but that's changed now. LW Brad May and C
Peter Zezel were both injured in Friday's game against Pittsburg. Zezel suffered a
strained hip flexor as is listed as day-to-day. Brad May has suffered a groin
strain, and is also listed day-to-day. C Josh Holden gets his big chance against
Washington tonight, as Brad May has been put on injured reserve (IR) to make room for the
young Canuck prospect. Holden was expected to make the team this year, but did not
impress Keenan enough at training camp. This is a second chance for Holden to prove
he can play at the NHL level.
