Vancouver Still Can't Solve Colorado

Source:    None

The Canucks got off to a quick start for once, but the outcome wasn't in their favour in the end with a 2-1 loss to nemesis Colorado.  Dave Scatchard made the Avalanche pay 42 seconds into the game, but Vancouver couldn't hold on to the lead.  The Canucks and their nemesis Avalanche, who they haven't beaten in almost three years (0-12-3), played a great game, but the BC boys from Denver kept the streak alive.  Adam Deadmarsh scored twice in the third period, and Burnaby Joe Sakic assisted on both.   Peter Forsberg also chipped in with an assist on one of Deadmarsh's goal, to make it more of the same.  Colorado continues to baffle Vancouver, and, as usual, Sakic and Forsberg (aka the Canuck Killers) were in on it.  Garth Snow gave the Canucks all the opportunity in the world to beat the Avalanche with several brilliant stops, but Vancouver couldn't get its offense going.  Vancouver gets another crack at the Avalanche Thursday in Colorado.
