Los
Angeles Kings
The night before Charley had to referee a district PeeWee hockey tournament in Long Beach, we were in Anaheim for an officials meeting. Following the meeting, Charley surprised Amber by buying tickets for the Los Angeles Kings and Mighty Ducks of Anaheim game at the Pond in Anaheim. Up in the nose bleeds, we saw one of the best games of the year (better than when the Kings beat the nasty New York Rangers), even though it ended in a tie.
Here's some of Amber's favorite photos from the game, and a couple of Charley's famous "goofy self portraits."

Rob Blake (center) and Garry Galley (high) forward the puck out of the Kings' zone. | Two of the Kings work to get the puck out of the corner. |
Rob Blake guards the top of the circle during a faceoff. | Another one of Charley's favorite goofy self portraits. |
Jamie Storr, also known as the "Partially Japanese Goalie" watches the Ducks forwards carefully. | What a save! Jamie's looking like a real goalie tonight! |

Ian Laperriere (Lappy) takes the draw. | Sean O'Donnell and Josef Stumpel work the Ducks in the corner. |
Yes, it's another goofy self portrait. |
