Well I had big plans for the Ducks this season. It seemed it would be a great season but the ugly face of injury has seemed to rear its head into ducks. Teemu hasn't been 100% which was evident on the breakway he had against the blackhawks where chelios comes to stop him and for some reason Paul is ailing also. both say they are fine but if they are why didn't they log ice time during the third period?? when they are losing also. i believe if they are injured they should sit out cuz if they play hurt it could get more serious.well thats all i got to say. Hello once again.After a long absence I am back.School is out and its time to get mad at Ducks' management.Allright almost 3 weeks into free agency and the Ducks have not landed anyone and they still do not have a coach!All the good free agents are gone!Ron Francis will probably not be going the Ducks. I think Disney should fire Jack and Tony. And start over! Anyone can do better than them two! And finally if you are going to hire a coach and lose a draft pick then hire a good coach like Marc Crawford!

Paul is still out of the line of up because of the concussion. I don't know if he is improving or what.But my opinion is that Paul should take the rest of the season off.I know Kariya fans that we won't have anyone to root for and such but it is best for Paul.This is his 4th concussion in 4 years thats a pretty high rate.Also I don't truly believe Kariya's groin injury is healed.If he takes the season off he can fully recover from all of his injuries and be sharp for the 1999 season.This is my opinion.

Once again I am truly sorry for the lack of updates but with school back in session it is hard to keep both things up.so dont worry the page will be periodically updated by me.Well lets get to the real issue of this week.The hit Gary Sutter put on Paul Kariya.Cmon NHL the guy deservered a longer suspension then that.Because of that hit it cost Paul Kariya to go to the Olympics and play for his country.That oppurtunity doesn't come around often and because of someone's cheap shot he has to miss it.I hope the Duck reliase that they need to get some people to defend Paul and Temmu.They are the most valuable to the team and if they dont do anything soon there might not be temmu or paul in Anaheim.So Ducks if you are listening go get some guys who will go after guys who hurt your star players.thats all for now..

Sorry for the lack of updates.I had christmas vacation so it was time for me to get some rest and I had the flu.Well while I was gone nothing has really changed.It is basiclly the same,Ducks lose game.Well it seems like they are starting to see they have to change it around if they want to win it all.The players yesterday held a players-only meeting to discuss issues facing the team.While that was going on Mr.Tony Tarves said to look for trades to be taking place,he said only he was looking for someone who can have impact on their team not a 4-string defensemen for a 4-string defensemen.Well Until next time Duck fans...

Another loss for the Mighty Ducks....Teemu and Paul connected to each other for the Ducks two goals. That was only bright spot for the Ducks this evening.Near the end of the game Pierre Page started to mix the lines up.Some gave some good quality scoring chances. After the game Pierre said to look for many line changes as he looks for more scoring other than Kariya and Selanne.Ducks
lose to the Sharks 4-2.Next up for the Ducks are the Calgary Flames.

Sorry for the lack of updates on this section.I have been under the weather lately and it hasnt gone away yet.Well for the games I missed reporting on the Ducks did horribly. They are giving up almost 6 goals a night which wont cut it in the nhl.If I were in charge I would shake things up by making a trade for a good defensemen who could play defense and score like a Rob Blake type. I would not look for a new goalie since there arent good ones out there unless Patrick Roy becomes avaliable which is highly unlikely. In closing let me ask you a question if the Redwings don't want to sign Sergi Federov(sp??) why doesn't any other team go after him,hes a good scorer and can play defense(hint Ducks this might be what u are missing..)send your comments to me at paulkariya@oocities.com Happy Hoildays to everyone!!!

A roaring sellout crowd of 17,174 at the Pond watched Paul Kariya comeback home.Everything seemed to be the same as last May when the Ducks were eliminated out of the playoffs by Detroit.Ron Wilson was coaching at the Pond and Teemu Selanne and Paul Kariya were a dynamic duo.But they were many changes.First off Ron Wilson is on the opponents side.Also Paul Kariya is playing his first game after missing the first 32 games because of contract disputes.As the game went under way it seemed like Paul did not even miss a step.As the crowd cheered,the Ducks found out how special Paul is to their team.In his first game back he makes an impressive performance with 4 points and being on the ice for all 6 of the Ducks goal.He helped a team that hasn't had game that they scored more than 5 goals to score 6 and comeback from a 3-0 deficit to win.Paul Kariya has shown the Ducks how valuable he is,but why did it take 32 games for the management to see that? Will we ever know why? Well lets us not ponder on that rather lets just remember this game where Paul came back and showed why he is one of the best players in the NHL.Ducks win 6-4 over the Washington Capitals.

Today Ducks fans all over the world got an early Christmas present.As the Anaheim Mighty Ducks resigned their star left winger,Paul Kariya,for $14 million dollars over 2 years. $2 million of the $14 million will go to various Orange County charities.Each side hopes that after the holidays they can iron out a long term agreement keeping Paul in Anahheim.Also this is the debut for this section "News & Notes".Look for daily reports on games and other intresting items...So please come back and look for updates.
