Comments: I am a Panamanian horse owner and I currently have several horses competing both in Panama and in Southern Florida as property of the " BABAMWY STABLE ". By the way, Pincay recently rode to victory ( his career win # 8,980 ) one my horses, namely Palguin, on 17th September 2000 at Panama's Presidente Remon Racetrack. I would like to add that I consider Laffit a personal friend, and I was at Hollywood Park the day he broke " the record . Please accept mny warmest regards,

If you want to check out more jockeys, go to the No 1 site on the Net JockeysRoom.com |
Comments: I think your site is pretty good although, you need some more pictures, including them to be a tade bit more recent then the stone ages. Maybe you can make it a bit more entertanning, and interesting as well. Other then that it is great!!
Comments: Being an avid fan of horse racing and an owner of a TB racehorse, I can't help but love your page! Great job, and keep up the good work :) Oh, and stop by my page some time to check out my horse and sign the guestbook. Go Pincay!!!!
Comments: Hey now, this guy's a natural phenomena. 52, and built like a rock. Clutch in big races, and the toughest down the stretch. I was just in Del Mar, bet him on a 22-1 shot "Cookin Vickie". To make a long story short, I had to find the pieces of my ticket af er the race. Had it torn in shreads at the top of the stretch. Sure enough, the pirate carried her across the wire. NO OTHER RIDER WINS THAT RACE WITH THAT HORSE. The guy's money. plain and simple. Can't wait for 8,334.
Comments: Very nice site.I hope you have many more races to catolog for Lafitte. One of the last great sport figures we have in the US.Thanks
Comments: What a terrific job you've done. I've been a fan of Laffit's since the early 70's when I would read about him in the NY Times at the library. It's hard to follow racing here--the internet is a blessing! I manage trips to the track every couple years an always am in awe of Laffit.
Comments: Nice to see someone has a page devoted to a Jockey. There are so many devoted to stars in other sports. I will bookmark it so as to keep up with Laffit's progress in breaking Shoe's record.
| Comments: I had the opportunity to meet a few jockeys and their wives at a Racing Commission convention in 1986 and became interested in the jockey as an athlete and community member. I enjoyed meeting the wives, many who were taller than their husbands. I also h ve a friend who is a jockey. I get _The Jockey News_ and would like it if some one would put the web sites and email lists about jockeys in that publication. | Comments: I beleive his 5,000th win was aboard a horse named "Wander". The question is...the name of the horse he crosses the wire with to win his 8,834th. |

Comments: If there is anybody out there who wants to know anything about European horse racing and/or the bloodstock industry, just e-mail me anytime.
Comments: There is nothing on earth which can beat the thrill and excitement of horse racing. Racing and the bloodstock industry are my passion in life. Indeed for nearly ten years I was a bloodstock writer with articles on the sport published around the world. ay the sport of kings continue forever. PS What a tragedy Real Quiet missed out on the Triple Crown? Is this year's American three-yar-old crop as good as in previous years? What do you think? In Europe it is still trying to sort itself out. The English 2000 Guineas and 1000 Guineas threw p good winners but the Derby and Oaks proved substandard. So too did the Irish 1000 and 2000 Guineas. But there is plenty of racing ahead this year.
Comments: Hi there, I was checking out the biography and noticed that it said Laffit's son was born in 1976, he was actually born in 75. I'm sure you don't care but we were looking at the page together and thought we'd email to let you know. Thanks, Sabrina
Comments: The old man still got it. You put him on a live horse, you're gonna get your 2 dollars worth. At age 51, he's still stronger then any of the hot shots that ride in Southern California. Let him loose in New York, and see what he does to that place. He'd be leading rider. Never been one to complain, or wine and dine his way onto the top trainers' ho ses. Laffit has remained at the top of his profession for three decades with the class and composure of a real champion.
Comments: though i'm not one thats into jockeys, i love the sport of horseracing. nice job on the page. aly
Comments: pinky is one of the greatest athletes of this era.To be able to do what he does at this age proves him to be the real deal. We feel lucky that our son has the same birthdate. I've met him when i lived in L.A., and he is a fine person as well. Do you know ow to contact him ? Oh yeah almost forgot to add, ........nobody can come back on the rail the way he does !!

Comments: Dad took me out to Santa Anita one day back in '67 or so.....We had spent the previous night pouring over the old "Pace Book" and fractionals that were God only knows how old back then. Laffit brought in dark horse late in the Card...."Hawaiian Zulu" I t ink. Anyhow, the old man told me to keep an eye on the rider, as he was the finest example of a jockey who rode with the horse....not on the horse. It has been fun over 30 years, watching, winning, losing and even getting my picture taken with my hero. Let the well stocked stables look away and put others in the irons; Laffit still beats 'em, yet, never has a sour word. In an era were it is difficult to enjoy the demeanor of many public figures, Laffit Pincay, Jr., provides an increasingly rare commod ty: an individual who commands respect owing to his personal and professional character. My hats off Laffit, and keep knocking 'em down. After all, the Shoe was really just hot walking the record till you could get out to the paddock, right?
Comments: I've been a big fan of Laffit Pincay for many years. I've been a racing fan since the mid 70's. I admire mostly his strong riding skill & many sacrifices to get to the top of his game. I wish we saw him on more top horses. Keep updating this great site I hope he breaks the win record!

Comments: Laffit Is the greatest Jockey of all time. What a wonderful web site that you have put together! He's my favorite rider because his Son reimburses me when I lose:)
Comments: having spent various years with my family growing up around the local race tracks, Laffit has been some what of an idol to me all my life. The sacrifices he's had to make in order to stay in the sport are legendary and he's overcome much to be where he is today. He's definitely the strongest rider we've ever had in this sport.
Comments: I was amazed that he did not win the K. Derby until '84, and never won the Preakness or the other one at Aqueduct. He rode Affirmed several times, but only in Cal., I guess. How many mounts has he had in Tri-crown races? Apparently, not many. I also like DeNiro, Magic, and vanilla ice cream. What a man! Great job on upgrading your site, Richelle. Thank you. Don
Comments: Great Job Richelle!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Comments: Hi Richelle, now I finally know who Mr. Pincay is ;-) What a great site! I wish I had the knowledge to do one myself. Bye. Beate
| Comments: Laffit is the consumate professional rider. I have been watching him since 1967 (when I was real Small). I actually met him when he got married in Las Vegas A few years ago.I saw him at Ceasers Palace mall in a video arcade. You guessed it, he was riding one of those stationary motorcycles, for fun. In my opinion he is the best, and will prove it very soon. I know that is why he stays in the game. In all my years of watching him and others like, Mccarron, Eddie D., Desormaux,Stevens, Etc, I have not seen a stronger rider than Laffit. I just hope he does not break his collar bone again or gets injured in any way shape or form. He is (from my experience) a modest man who sticks to business and knows how to win. God bless him. | Comments: i am thrilled that you started this page.he is one of the all time greats who is being shunned in cali by most trainers.his patience as a rider can only compare to the great yves st.martin.he is a class act and you made my day with this page.thanks and we l done |
Comments: Love the opening picture. I'll write you with more comments, once I've seen more of the place...
Comments: I think that this web page was a great help to my research. The information that I found here was not available in any bookstore or library. Unbelievable info!!! Way to go Richelle. Hail Laffit Pincay!
Comments: This page is great!! Your enthusiasm for Laffit really comes through, and the design is great. I can tell you've put a lot of work into it. I'm linking it to my web page!
