News Update--4/7/99

Hey, I am not even gonna do that old skit where I do the Triple H intro. 'Cos I know I don't get millions and millions of fans. Never mind, I guess I am still relatively new.

So I'm gonna just head straight into the news and latest happenings.

Looks like the old Austin Vs Corporation angle has been put on hold, for a while at least. Old Vinnie Mac has got his hands full with the ministry. His poor old daughter Stephanie has to be looked after by the owner of the WWF. Leaving Shane to run the company while he his busy with her. Rajah came up with an interesting look of things by saying that Shane is the higher power the Undertaker keeps referring to, with Stephanie in cahoots with them both. This seems to hold some solid weight as all the story lines point to it. Vince seems to be taking a back seat to his son in terms of TV time and Shane taking the reigns from his dad seems to be the best guess we can make. Another thing Raj brought up was the possible help given by either Steve Austin and/or Paul Wight. At the moment McMahon cannot deal with the Undertaker and it may end up him turning to and begging these guys to help. Sounds interesting and we will have to wait to see what happens.

Raw scored an average ratings score of 5.8 over the two hours. Which once again beat Nitro, even with its new look. This new look is very similar to the look of Raw and it may just be they are copying of the WWF, which wouldn't surprise me as the Titan roller steams on!

HBK has tied the knot with Nitro girl, Whisper. The woman, only known as Rebecca, has given her notice to WCW and may end up in the WWF. Steven Regal has been released from the group, after the WWF finally gave up on his bad habits. It appeared like he would never be able to kick his drinking habits and hence the sacking.

The European title has been dropped by the federation. I don't know why though as I found the matches it brought in were quite good. It has been a successful title and its removal will remove potential story lines, but hey, I guess the guys up at Titan know what they are doing.

The Headbangers will both be re-packaged, but not for a while though as Mosh is still recovering from a knee injury. Rumour has it that the old evil Doink will be re-vived. Lets wait and see.

Head on over to the PPV preview for a line up of the Backlash event. All the matches announced so far are only speculation so don't take them for granted.

The Manchester PPV in May is drawing closer and I can confirm I have booked into the hotel where the wrestlers will be staying that night. Last year at Mayhem in Manchester, we were in the same hotel when they were there too and I spoke to Stone Cold, Undertaker and D-Lo Brown. There were other their at the time like the Godwinns, Goldust and the Road Dogg, but this was at 3 in the morning so I wasn't expecting many to be up. So this year I am hoping to see them and get to speak to more of them. Lets see.

Gotta go for now, so I will see ya next week for the latest happenings. Till then.
