• Rock Interview.
- The Rock rode down the aisle in a hearse. He said he would bury Stone Cold Steve Austin later in the show for his own funeral. The Rock then walked over to the gravesite, and explained what was all there, which was a mound of dirt, roses with a picture of Austin, a casket, a hole, and a shovel. • Road Dogg defeated Jeff Jarrett (w/Debra) with a Pump-handle Slam.
- Road Dogg made a proposition for Owen Hart before the match, which was if Hart beat him, Canadian Country (the new name of Hart and Jeff Jarrett) would automatically become the number one contenders for the Tag Team Titles instead of settling it in a match at the Backlash PPV. But if RD won, we would all get to see Debra's "puppies." Hart accepted, as he immediately attacked RD. RD ended up taking the win with a Pump-handle Slam. Debra proceeded to take her clothes off, but Jeff Jarrett ran down to stop her.
• Cameras continued to keep an eye out for the arrival of Stone Cold Steve Austin.

The Undertaker said it was unacceptable, as Viscera attacked them both from behind for The Acolytes' punishment.

- The match between the two did not last long, as Ken Shamrock finished off The Big Bossman with a huracanrana followed by a belly-to-belly suplex. The lights went out and The Undertaker appeared on the Titan Tron. He told Shamrock it was getting late and he knew where Ryan was. He told Shamrock that she was in an abandoned hotel, room 223, on Interstate 96.
• Mankind defeated Triple H (w/Chyna) by Disqualification.
- The Mean Street Posse did color commentary during the match. Triple H and Mankind brawled near the announcers table, where Chyna attacked Mankind. When Mankind was going to take Mr. Socko out of his tights, Chyna low blowed him, which caused the referee to call for a Disqualification. The Corporation ran down and attacked Mankind, until The Big Show made the save. Triple H pushed Test right into the clutches of Big Show. Test was chokeslammed as The Corporation left. Mankind then told Big Show he appreciated the help, but at the Backlash PPV, the boiler room would be his turf.

• Billy Gunn and Jeff Jarrett (w/Debra) went to a No-Contest.
- During the match, Owen Hart came down, followed by Road Dogg, who chased him around. Debra got up on the ring apron, unbuttoning her shirt, but Billy Gunn just mooned her. She started stripping, until Jeff Jarrett put the guitar in front of her. Hart and RD ran in, causing a Disqualification.

• At the WWF television studios, Stephanie and Vince McMahon prepared for their interview. When returning from a commercial break, Michael Cole asked Vince McMahon if he was proud of what Shane did to him. Vince said he had always been proud of Shane for what he had done, until the previous Monday on Raw is War where Shane slapped his own father. Stephanie started to say that she thought she knew Shane, but apparently not. At this point, security came up to Vince, informing him of a situation. Vince immediately got up and started screaming. He ran out to the outside of the studios where Midian was. He pummeled on Midian, beating him all the way to the ground. McMahon then got in the car. He tried to run over Midian, but missed. Midian then shoved McMahon out of the car. Midian got in and drove away, as McMahon ran after him, cursing.

• Cameras were shown for Stone Cold Steve Austin's arrival.
• Rock Interview.
- The Rock read his eulogy in the ring, saying he knew Stone Cold Steve Austin was not going to show up, so he brought something else he would bury. He opened his T-shirt, exposing Austin's custom-made Heavyweight Title belt, which we thought was thrown into a local Detroit, Michigan river by The Rock the week before. Austin appeared on the Titan Tron in his Austin 3:16 monster truck. He asked a security official out in the parking lot where The Rock's car was. The security official told Austin where the car was and said it had the keys in it after Austin asked, but asked Austin not to mess with it since it was new. Austin drove The Rock's car until the middle of the parking lot. He got back in his monster truck and ran over the car twice, flattening it completely, which shocked The Rock. Austin then rode into the arena and got out. He revved up the engine each time The Rock tried to speak. He and The Rock brawled all over. They came to the grave site. Austin threw The Rock into it. He poured beer all over him, until Shane came down with a shovel and knocked Austin out over the head. At that point, the show went off the air.
