Christie Resigns, Veitch takes over

F Christie has sensationally resigned as manager of Noverry Athletic FC, after a dramatic first season in charge which culminated in victory in the Grand Final of the Play-Offs last season..
Christie cited the pressure of the Noverry hotseat to be too much to balance with present work commitments, and the fact he is a lazy bastard, as reasons for his shock resignation. However, he will remain at the club in a playing capacity.
The Noverry Athletic Board have moved swiftly to find a replacement, with team tactician, P Veitch, agreeing to take on the further responsibility of the management role on a temporary basis.
The Noverry Athletic manager's job is surely the most pressured post in the whole Suffolk Soccerworld - and it has been dubbed the "job that nobody wants". However, Veitch is keen to try out some new ideas and methods to bring success to the Club and is anxious to show that he should be given the manager's job on a permanent basis.
His managerial career has not got off to the best of starts as Noverry Athletic languish at the foot of the table, having yet to earn any points. But players and supporters are confident that, given time, Veitch can turn things around. He has already moved swiftly in the transfer market to secure the services of Steve Evans, who will be the first scouser to play for the Club. Though Veitch is keen to let the existing players show their worth before pitching Evans in for his debut.
