Tigerton's Nick Desrochers scored a game-high 27 points (on his birthday) to help the Tigers end their 6-game losing streak by defeating Northland Lutheran, 50-35.
The Wildcats played a loose zone defense in the first half, allowing Desrochers to catch fire from behind the three-point line. His 4-of-7 shooting from behind the arc gave Tigerton a 36-16 halftime advantage.
Northland Lutheran switched to a tighter defense in the second half, effectively slowing down Tigerton's offense; the Tigers scored only 14 second half points. Northland's offense could not overcome the huge deficit, however, and Tigerton held on for the easy win.
Tigerton's next game is on Friday night at Plainfield Tri-County.
