The Tigerton Tigers ended the 1998-99 season with a loss to 12'th ranked Suring, 61-34.
Suring started out hot, scoring a layup off the tip just :03 into the game. They dominated the first quarter, outscoring the Tigers, 17-2. Suring's excellent fan base, which filled more than half of Tigerton's gymnasium, continued to make a lot of noise as Suring built a 31-8 lead with 2:30 to play in the half. Tigerton scored the final seven points of the half to cut the lead to 31-15.
The Tigers continued to stay with the Eagles, trimming the lead to 39-24 with 3:00 to play in the third quarter. A technical foul, that resulted in the ejection of Tigerton's Matt Schoening, gave Suring the momentum to open up leads of twenty points in the fourth quarter. Suring advanced to the second round of Regional play against the Gresham Wildcats with the 61-34 win.
Tigerton was led by Nick Desrochers with 10 points in the game and a total of 451 points for the season. Paul Schuh contributed 7 points while Steve Reinert pumped in 6. Both Randy Tiutczenko and Josh Graham scored 102 points for Tigerton this season. The Tigers' final record is 5-16.
