On a crisp and extremely windy day supporters and teammates saw another impressive outing by KCRFC as they pulled out an impressive win over a scrappy and physical Des Moines club. The first half showed excellent defensive skills by both teams with KCRFC breaking a couple of long tries for a 15-0 lead at the half.
The second half proved to be similar but the City team was able punch through 7 tires by good supporting play and tenacious defense which lead to the 54-0 full-time score.
Man of the match was Tony Buckley.

With a very experienced second side KCRFC showed its dominance right off the bat punching in tries with in the first couple of minutes. Hard rucking and support play again was the name of the game along with good defense. KCRFC led at the half 24-0.
The second half was a carbon copy of the first half with exception that tries were scored at center post to enable conversions to be made. Unfortunately, the Des Moines club forced one try over late in half to avoid the shut out. KCRFC came right back down though and scored again. Excellent job 52-7.
