KCRFC 1sr XV 55 Kansas Jayhawks RFC 19
On another windy but hot day the Kansas City Rugby Football Club came out victorous again. City opened the game with with a knock-on deep in their own territory and allowed KJRFC to score first. City quickly came back and scored three tries to take the lead. Another City mistake made allowed a score so the half-time score was 17-14 in favor of KCRFC.
The second half saw the City side come out with all pistons firing and the defense stiffened up. Many tries were taken in by a pack that was working well in all phases of the game. The backs also broke the line many times and more tries were possible if not for some untimely passes and knock-ons. Unfortunately, tempers flared and the game was blown up for fighting with a couple minutes left. Full-Time 55-19 KCRFC.
Man of the match was Mark Dunning (Inside Center).

KCRFC 2nd XV 29 Kansas Univ. RFC 10
Another strong showing in numbers allowed us to get experienced players and new, younger players a game. They responded well by coming out and scoring right away. Tim Davies added a drop kick and KU scored one try on very good open play. Half-Time score 10-5 KCRFC.
The second half saw City breaking the gain lines and being one guy short of scoring while the hard hitting defense held KU to only one try on a long run from disorganized play near the KU try line. The final score was 29-10 KCRFC.
