GAME HIGHLIGHTS
June 22 KCRFC
wins the Jayhawk 7s Tournament in Lawrence, KS. Beating Johnson County, Pitt State, and defeating the KC Blues in
the finals 24-21. This advanced them to
the Western Club 7s Championships in Denver, CO.
July 20 KCRFC
finished 5th/6th at the Western Club 7s Championships in
Denver, CO. Lost to HARC (3rd),
Denver Barbarians (1st), and beat Boulder. Great job gentlemen on the 7s season.
HAPPENINGS
- Players meeting Wednesday July 31, 2002 at
Molloy Bros. Irish Pub at 1020 Westport Road. We will discuss the season, discuss the coaching situation,
pay dues (so bring your checkbooks), fill out CIPP and information, and
have merchandise available for sale.
Please try to make this, as it is important.
- 13th Annual Legends of Rugby Golf
Tournament on Saturday Aug. 10, 2002 at Shamrock Hills GC in Lees Summit,

The KCRFC Special Olympics night at the K was a success. We had about twenty alumni/players/sig. Others to help. This was a big night and we look forward to setting it up again in the future. Many thanks to those who helped and Paul Scruggs for setting it up.

the 1st Annual Booze Cruz (Sat 8/17/02). There is still plenty of room, so

- Tim Davies has been playing for Kansas City RFC
for the last 4 years and is currently on a sports visa, which expires in
August. He is looking to extend his current visa thus enabling him to play
for Kansas City RFC for a further 5 years. His extension application costs
$3000 and for that $3000 the extension will be submitted and a green card
application will be put forward. Tim is looking for
some help regarding this fee.
