Fairfield Inn—Kansas City/Union Hill

The Fairfield Inn Union Hill at 3001 Main Street has an Anniversary Rate special of $55.00 per night that is available through the end of June. Their rate includes Continental Breakfast. They have been open for one year. The Anniversary Rate must be booked directly with the hotel. (816) 931-5700.

HAPPENINGS

KCRFC will be having a Royals night at the K with the Special Olympics on Saturday July 20, 2002. The game is KC Royals v. Cleveland Indians and is free. We need volunteers to help with tailgate party and go to the game. This should be an exciting event and a chance for the club to show its community support to those less fortunate. Tim Davies has been playing for Kansas City RFC for the last 4 years and is currently on a sports visa which expires in August. He is looking to extend his current visa thus enabling him to play for Kansas City RFC for a further 5 years. His extension application costs $3000 and for that $3000 the extension will submitted and a green card application will be put forward. Tim is looking for some help regarding this fee.

Tim would like to thank Don Knopke for his generous donation and Paul Scruggs for his financial assistance.

As you may have noticed in the last mailed newsletter there is a partial list of missing Alumni. If you know the where about of any of these people please pass along their address to kcrfc_rugby@hotmail.com so that we can update the database. We have gotten back in contact with about 35 people on there and expect to track down even more. If you did not receive a newsletter in the mail please forward your address so that we can get them out to you.
