1999 WORLD CUP

Dear Rugby Tourist;
Well, it’s
time to pack your kit bag, dig out your passport and get ready for another trip
across the pond with The KCRFC, destination, Cardiff Wales, for the 1999 World
Cup.
Tentative
plans have us leaving Wednesday Oct 13th and returning Monday Oct 25th. This
should put us over there to attend some preliminary World Cup Games and also
keep us around long enough to see the Quarter-finals.
For this
tour we have set up a two tier cost schedule; one for players and another for
supporters. The player package would be less expensive and would be based on
extensive home-hosting, which is being set up by our old friend Tony Palmer.
The supporter package will be a little more expensive and be based on double
occupancy at local bed and breakfast or hotels, whichever is more reasonable.
Anyone signing up as a player but wishing to take their significant other will
be required to pay the full fare as a non-player as we will not ask our host to
put up couples.
Tony has
already scheduled matches for us against some top-notch Welch clubs who will
also host us. Because of this number of games, limited motor coach size and
accommodations we are limiting the tour to 47 people, 30 of which will be
reserved for players, so that means there are only a precious few seats left
for supporters. The seats that we cannot fill with players will be opened later
for supporters, but from the number of casual inquiries I have already had I
doubt that there will be very many available seats.
As a result
of this being a World Cup venue prices are a little higher than previous tours
the cost for Players will be $1800.00 for non-players it will be $2000.00. We
ask that those interested in traveling with us please send in a $100 deposit as
well as fill out a TOUR INFORMATION
SHEET.
Once
a firm price has been established (approximately 10 months before departure)
those who have submitted a deposit will be give 30 days to review their decision
and may cancel at that time with no penalty incurred. Past the 30 day
grace period the deposit will be non-refundable.
The following payment
schedule will be strictly adhered to:
10 months $100 deposit
plus an additional $150
6 months 50% of total
tour price
3 months 100% of total
tour price
the following refund schedule shall
also prevail:
full refund minus $25.00
10 months
6 months payments made minus $100 deposit
payments made minus $300
to cover kit 3 months
expenses and airfare
cancelations
30 days 50% but you will be entitled to
furnished
kit.
