- Xlendi bay is a long and narrow and faces south west . The northern shores comprize of fairly steep rockswhich drop vertically at the waters edge.The southern shores are however quite different with buildings and of course the main road. Below these a wide pathway runs right along the shore.Becuase Xlendi Cave is just below the northern shore it is quite inaccessable from that side, so the diver is required to follow the pathway to any point roughly level with the caveand swin across the bay.

- The bottom is flat and rocky with areas that are partly covered with sea weed and other areas which are bare.

- Large Cave that joins both sides of the rocky promontory.

- One can see small barracudas roming around the cave.

- The most dangerous thing is the surface traffic , do not surface in the middle of the bay unless it is vitally important and only then with extreme caution.
