for third in the girls invitational.
Chapel Hill junior Kevin Timp (#310) ran 16:03.6 for 5th, leading his team to
a 27-point win over runner-up Apex. #1230 is Phil Gaeta (Oakton, VA) and
#836 is Leesville Road junior Cameron Bell who ran 16:06.4.
Leaders in the girls 3-A race are #392 Hadley Thom (East Chapel Hill) and
#1740 Jennifer Kelley (T.C. Roberson). Kelley won in 19:06.3
and Thom ran 19:24.6 for third.
Also in the girls 3-A race, North Buncombe junior Brittany Cole (#1086) finished 4th in 19:26.3.
Harding junior Jessica Carroll (#756) was 5th in 19:28.1, and
North Buncombe junior Carla Bowlin (#1084) was 6th in 19:30.7.
The boys open race was won by Hunter Graham (Winston-Salem R.J. Reynolds) in 15:59.0.
Rachael Kitson (Chapel Hill) ran 18:47.3 and placed 6th in the girls invitational race.
In the girls open race, #450 Elizabeth Rose (East Mecklenburg) was 4th in 19:43.2
and #1567 Loring Watkins (Southeast Guilford) was 5th in 19:44.0.
Also in the girls open, #1331 Kristin Swecker (Providence) ran 19:59.4 for 8th,
#205 Becca Sowder (West Forsyth) 20:07.0 for 11th, and #721 Hannah Owensby (Freedom)
20:03.8 for 9th. Swecker is a freshman, Sowder a senior, and Owensby a sophomore..
