JACKSONVILLE WINS: Star Coppin and Candace Sessoms made sure that nothing
changed in the power structure of track and field in the Mideastern 4-A
Conference.
Coppin won four individual events and Sessoms added championships in two individual events and a relay as the unbeaten Cardinals overpowered the field to win their eighth straight Mideastern 4-A Conference girls' track and field championship at Jacksonville. Jacksonville's 236 total points more than doubled the total of runner-up Hoggard with 95.
